Crafted Vacays (India) runs an automated assistant that answers enquiries on our Instagram account @craftedvacays and our WhatsApp business number. This page explains what it collects and why. It covers only this messaging service; craftedvacays.com has its own policy for bookings.
What we receive
- Instagram: when you comment on our posts or message us: your Instagram username and account id, your comment or message, and the time. When you tap a button in our message, whether you follow @craftedvacays.
- WhatsApp: when you message us: your phone number, profile name, your messages and the time.
- Anything you choose to tell us, such as destination, travel dates and group size.
All of it reaches us through Meta's official Instagram and WhatsApp APIs. We never ask for passwords and we do not read anything you have not sent to us.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, for example sending the itinerary you asked for.
- To pass your enquiry to our travel team, who continue the conversation.
- To keep a record of enquiries so we don't ask you the same thing twice.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or send you promotional messages you did not ask for.
Who processes it for us
- Meta (Instagram and WhatsApp), which delivers the messages.
- Our server provider IONOS, where the assistant runs.
- An AI model provider (currently Groq), which drafts replies to WhatsApp messages from the message text. Instagram comment replies use fixed texts and are not sent to an AI model.
- Google Sheets, where our team keeps enquiry details (name, destination, dates, group size).
- Telegram, where our team gets alerts about enquiries that need a person.
How long we keep it
Instagram comment records: 30 days. Enquiry details and conversations: while we are helping you plan a trip, and afterwards only as long as needed for our records, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Your choices
You can stop at any time by not replying. To see, correct or delete your data, follow the steps on our data deletion page or email craftedvacays@gmail.com.
